Present Simple or Continuous?

"I'm a journalist"

"I work for a newspaper - I'm writing a great article about dogs now" 


Read the conversation and pay attention to the present tenses. When is the -ing form of the verb used? How is it used?

A: What do you do?
B: I'm an interior designer. I decorate people's homes and give them ideas for furniture and lighting.
A: And what are you working on these days?
B: Well, I'm not working on a home at the moment. I'm working on a hotel. I'm designing a new lobby for the Plaza.
A: Do you like your job?
B: Yes, I love it
